Frequently Asked Questions

What information is needed for check-in? Upon arrival, we will assist you with your luggage, register your passport details, and have you sign our guest book.
How do I access the Wi-Fi? High-speed internet is available throughout the hotel.

How do the room keys and electricity work? You will receive 2 cards per room. One is for the door lock. The second card must be placed in the slot on the right side of the entrance door to activate the lights and electricity in your room.

Is the tap water drinkable? Tap water is for brushing your teeth only. For drinking, we provide a fresh water jug in your room and refill stations in the kitchen, floor 1 and the terrace.
Where can I refill my water bottle? To reduce plastic waste, we have three refill stations located in:
1. The kitchen area.
2. The terrace.
3. Floor 1.
Are there water restrictions? Due to the current strong summer season, we kindly ask all guests to practice moderate and mindful water consumption.
What is the policy for toilet paper? To protect our rural plumbing system, please deposit all toilet paper in the trash can/bin, NOT in the toilet.

How should I secure my room? For your safety and to keep local wildlife out, please keep all sliding doors and windows closed and locked whenever you are out of the room..
Do you offer laundry services? Yes. Place your clothes in the laundry bag found in your closet drawer and leave it out in the morning. Your clean clothes will be returned by the end of the day.

Where are meals served? Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served in the main dining room or on the Terrace. We do not offer a menu; instead we have a fixed daily menu that takes into account guests dietary restrictions. Our meals are served plated for small groups and buffet style for larger groups.
How does the Honor Bar and shop work? We operate on a trust system. Our Honor Bar (located on the Terrace) and our shop (next to reception) allow you to help yourself. Simply write down what you consume or purchase on your room tally, and you can settle the bill at the end of your stay.
What payment methods do you accept? We accept cash in Colombian Pesos (COP), US Dollars (USD), and Euros (EUR).

When is the best time to see birds? Our bird kiosk (feeder station) is active from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. It is a fantastic spot to observe hummingbirds, tanagers, woodpeckers, and many other local species.

Our hotel sits on 20 acres of mostly forest. We offer 3 miles of clearly marked walking paths through the forest. The trailhead is located by the water tanks next to the hotel and will take you on a loop that ends by the hotel’s lawn.
